Grants 2008-09
On behalf of Bromley Council, BCVYS administers grants for Youth Work. Two forms for Grant Aid are available - one for Voluntary Organisations, and one for individuals to engage in training activities and courses.
These grants are limited and demand may often exceed the funds available so applications should be made as earlier as possible, and provide as much information as possible in support of the application.
Limitations
- Grants will only be awarded for work relating to 12-21 years old in accordance with the London Borough of Bromley Youth Service objectives.
- An organisation applying, or for an individual applying, the organisation must be a member of Bromley Council for Voluntary Youth Services.
- An organisation must demonstrate how its activities are consistent with the overall aims of the Authority’s Statement of Policy on work with young people in the Borough.
Grant Applications
A Grants Panel meet 3 or 4 times a year to consider applications (see below). After these meetings applicants will be advised as to the outcome of their request for funding. Grants may not be given after expenditure has occurred, or after a training course has taken place.
Applications must be made on the appropriate Form which can be downloaded below.

Grants Panel meetings and deadlines
The grant panel dates for this financial year are listed below. There is a cut-off date for applications before each panel meeting. This is to enable the Grant Panel to have sufficient time to consider the applications submitted. Any applications missing the cut-off time, will automatically be held over until the next panel meeting.

The Grants Panel is a sub-group of the Executive Committee of BCVYS. Current members of the panel are Nigel Hoad, Rachel Archer, Brenda Prescott, Paul Cosgrave and Rikki Garcia.
